BNY's Singapore presence was established in 1974 and provides premier financial services to organizations in the region with a broad spectrum of technology and investment solutions to help these organizations better serve their clients. Our services include asset servicing, collateral management and segregation, corporate trust, depositary receipts, foreign exchange sales and trading, investment management and treasury services. BNY is the first issuer of sponsored depositary receipts from Singapore and was one of the first organizations to offer local brokers and their clients online investing services to the U.S. market.

Founded by Alexander Hamilton in 1784, BNY is the oldest bank in the United States and the longest continuously operating company in New York City.
1974
BNY Singapore branch was established to provide a broad spectrum of technology and investment solutions to help organizations better serve clients.
1999
Clearance and Collateral Management established its Singapore team, helping clients finance their Asian and international assets.
2003
BNY Pershing provided U.S. execution, clearing, settlement and custody to leading financial institutions in Singapore.
2016
BNY opened its Global Innovation Center in Singapore.
2017
BNY established a successful Depositary Receipt (DR) program for Sea Limited, one of Singapore's largest technology conglomerates.
2020
BNY was appointed on the first Catastrophe Bond issued in Singapore.
2021
BNY expanded its foreign exchange (FX) footprint in Singapore with the launch of the eFX Pricing and Trading Engine.
2023
Treasury Services introduced a blockchain-based proof-of-concept to reduce cost and settlement time on cross-border FX payments.
2023
Asset Servicing won the ‘Best New Asset Servicing Project’ in the inaugural Global Custodian Awards in Singapore for its transformational investment accounting initiative with the Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) Malaysia.
